Blush and Navy wedding

Blush, navy, and silver go so well together! The edible glitter ribbon on the blush layer was a challenge, but added a nice texture, and I love the unsymmetrical silver ribbons on the white layers.
Also- cookies and cream and lemon raspberry cakes are two of my VERY favorites!

Naked Wedding Cake

Naked cakes are one of the most fun of the current wedding cake trends! They have a rustic, elegant vibe, and are especially great if you aren't a big fan of frosting or fondant! This is a vanilla cake with rich buttercream filling, and a light glaze on the outside. Those gorgeous roses are the perfect finishing touch!

Black and White Stripes

The Relief Society birthday cake for my ward! I wish I had a picture of the inside- it was just as pretty (and stripey)! Six layers of dense, moist vanilla cake filled with alternating layers of raspberry and vanilla cream fillings. Yummy!
It is frosted with delicious white vanilla buttercream frosting, then has black fondant stripes and gold, edible glitter on top! This picture at home shows the glitter better. :)

Vintage-Style Buttercream and Roses

I have been so excited to make this cake! Just the 5 tiers of buttercream-iced cake was pretty, but when the bride brought me a big bucket of dark pink roses, red peonies, and dark greenery...well, I can make anything look good with flowers like that! ;-)

Simple, Elegant, White on White Flowers

I was sooo happy to make this gray and white dream for my brother and my brand new sister!!! The cake was delicious carrot cake with cream cheese filling, and the white fondant is my signature marshmallow recipe (It tastes like your cake is covered in a thin layer of marshmallow! So much yummier than the stuff you buy pre-packaged in the store!!!) Her colors were gray, white, and navy, and this simple, elegant cake with clouds of white flowers fit the bill perfectly.

Vintage Lace Wedding Cake

This ivory and white cake was designed to coordinate perfectly with the Bride's dress and reception decor. It matched perfectly, and I'm in love with how the lace and buttons turned out!

Rainbow Petal Cake

This was so fun and colorful! It took a lot longer than I was thinking to do all of those petals, but the end result was worth it. The cake was french vanilla with raspberry filling, and the frosting is a yummy cream cheese- super delicious!

Filigree Wedding Cake

The white-on-white filigree on this cake turned out so gorgeous! It is one of my favorite techniques to add that extra special touch to a cake. I also layered blue and green ribbons, so that between them and the pink and yellow flowers, we could pull in all of this bride's bright colors.

Naked Red Velvet Cake

This cake was requested for an informal, backyard wedding reception. It is delicious Red Velvet cake with some pretty amazing cream cheese frosting.

Turquoise Wedding Cake

Loved the turquoise criss-cross ribbons and the bright flowers on this sweet little number. This cake was quite a bit smaller than usual, so I got to use my pretty cut-glass cake stand. The layers are Cookies and Cream cake and Lemon-Raspberry cake...Yummy!

Giraffe Print Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my younger sister's 19th birthday and it turned out so cute! It is red velvet cake covered with white fondant, then chocolate fondant patches and an aqua colored "e" for Emily! It was a random request, but the giraffe was actually pretty darn cute. :)

Fushia and Aqua Wedding Cake

This cake turned out so pretty with the asymmetrical fondant ribbons. I wasn't a huge fan of the fake flowers the bride used, but you can't really tell in the pictures. They do kind of cover up the slant of the fondant ribbons, but over-all I thought it ended up a very pretty cake!

4 layer Red and Coral wedding

This cake is from several years ago, but I still love it. The flowers were all huge-- Calla lillies, Roses and Gerbera daisies-- so in order to use them I wired them together in drapes and let them cascade down the sides of the cake. It turned out so gorgeous, and you would never know that the bottom two layers are actually cake forms- only the top two were real cake, which turned out to be just the right amount at this upscale reception that already had lots of delicious refreshments.

Orange and hot pink wedding

This bride loves bright colors, and I think that she got the mix just right. The brown ribbon and green berries give these flowers just the perfect touch to keep the palette from being too bright, while still incorporating some gorgeous pink daisies and orange roses. I loved the groups of three dots that she wanted all over the cake, and chocolate cake with raspberry filling is one of my favorite combos.

Owl Birthday

I got this idea for an owl cupcake-cake out of a family fun magazine. Loved it for my daughter's first birthday! I also thought the little owlets were adorable!

Princess Cupcakes

Loved these fondant crowns on key lime cupcakes! We took them up to Downata Hot Springs in Idaho to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday at a family reunion and they were a big hit!

Ivory, White, and Red Wedding

This is my sister's wedding cake, which she wanted to coordinate with her elaborate, ivory wedding dress. I thought that the criss-cross zig-zag lines added such a fun and elegant touch, and it looked breath-taking in my parent's back-yard at the reception.

Gorgeous Cream and Coral Wedding

I LOVED how this turned out! This bride wanted cream colored fondant on round cakes, and she was very insistent that it be homemade carrot cake with cream cheese filling inside. This turned out to be one of my most delicious and beautiful cakes- I love the elegant simplicity, and I always love using pearls as a border. Plus she gave me sooo many roses to decorate with that I was able to lift the cake and put a border of them all the way around the bottom. I love, love, love it!

Mini cake and Cupcakes

I made this mini cake for a cake walk at our church. The top layer is only 3" diameter, and the bottom is 6". The whole thing is about 8" tall and is absolutely adorable! The girl who won it was totally ecstatic. :) This would make such a cute birthday cake. :)
These are my favorite cupcakes ever! They are cookies n' cream-- vanilla cake studded with oreo chunks, half an oreo on the bottom and a big oreo stuck into the whipped cream cheese frosting!
